HOUSTON, May 15 (Reuters) - El Paso Corp (EP), a natural gas producer and pipeline company, said on Thursday its 2008 cash flow will top its prior forecast if energy prices remain high.

El Paso’s board of directors also approved $300 million share buyback and raised its annual dividend 25 percent. The dividend will be paid in the 2008 fourth quarter.

Shares of the Houston company’s stock rose to the highest level in nearly six years after the news.

Very happy with this Gas stock. I believe we will see steady growth of EP for some time.

El Paso Corp. on Thursday said it swung to a first-quarter gain from continuing operations as the pipeline and natural gas production company expects to beat its Wall Street targets for the year on higher fuel prices and its hedging strategy. This stock is being talked about by Wall Street media as a great long term energy buy.

Cramer has touted the growth of the industry, going so far as calling 2008 “the year of natural gas.” He especially likes Anadarko Petroleum (APC - Cramer’s Take - Stockpickr), which he called a “must buy” on March 25.

Since that recommendation, Anadarko shares are up $11.51, and Cramer says the stock could rise to $100 in the next 18 months.

Cramer extended his optimism to the entire natural gas sector. With the growth rates for a natural gas drillers averaging 15%, he said investors will be hard pressed to find such high growth in any other sector. He also mentioned the sector’s excellent visibility as another plus.

Rounding out his favorite natural gas drillers, Cramer also recommended Devon (DVN - Cramer’s Take - Stockpickr), Apache (APA - Cramer’s Take - Stockpickr), Southwest Energy (SWN - Cramer’s Take - Stockpickr), Ultra Petroleum (UPL - Cramer’s Take - Stockpickr) and Encana (ECA - Cramer’s Take - Stockpickr).

This really looks like a good long term energy play. CEO on CNBC today said he sees the stock doubling to $100.00. Analyst like CHK

The technicals looked good on this stock yesterday. I put in a buy limit order last night. I was able to by low first thing this morning when the market opened. Stock went up today.
